Lucia di Lammermoor

Donizetti’s most famous and celebrated work, Lucia di Lammermoor  is set in 17th century Scotland, and is based on Sir Walter Scott’s novel, “The Bride of Lammermoor,” The opera features a famous "tour-de-force" mad scene for the soprano.
